Differential GPS

When extreme high resolution position data is required, New-Sense can enable a differential GPS (DGPS) subscription on all of its systems using the OmniStar XP service. The service obtains DGPS corrections directly through our standard Novatel L1/L2 antenna (ANT-42GNSSA-TW) and receiver (OEM628) within the iDAS unit. The Novatel OEM628 receiver applies and models the computed position in real time so it is instantly available to the iDAS system for navigation and data.

OmniSTAR XP is a worldwide dual frequency high accuracy solution. Orbit and Clock correction data is used together with atmospheric corrections derived from the dual frequency data. By utilizing carrier phase measurement, very high accuracy can be achieved. OmniSTAR XP service provides short term accuracy of 1-2 inches and long term repeatability of better than 10 centimeters, 95%CEP
